First appeared in Showcase #94 in 1977 and was created by Paul Kupperberg and Joe Staton. Celsius is a member of the Doom Patrol with the power to manipulate temperature. Her civilian identity is Arani Desai, a wealthy Indian woman who fell in love with and married Niles Caulder, the Doom Patrol's leader.
