Fan Casting Detective Sarah Essen in The Wachowskis' Batman: Year One

Gordon’s sharp, no‑nonsense partner, Sarah asks the right questions (“What does he look like?”) and sees through Bruce Wayne’s drunk act at Wayne Manor. She is disgusted by corruption, loyal to Gordon, and never reduced to a love interest. Essen is a cop who has survived Gotham by being smarter and harder than everyone else.
