In one of the six nations, Charles Xavier runs a school for mutants, a safe place for young mutants to go. His old friend, Erik Lehnsherr, wants to put mutants on top of the world while Charles pursues peace between humanity and mutant-kind. Charles's best students, the X-Men, battle Magneto and his evil Brotherhood of Mutants to protect humanity from Magneto.
