After the events of Wolverine: Weapon X, Rev. William Stryker has created the Purifiers to kill all mutant-kind, but he's a hypocrite and has a mutant enforcer. The X-Men discover this and try to stop him, but they need assistance from someone that knows Stryker better than anyone.
