Peter Parker is an awkward and introverted high schooler who becomes a superhero after being bitten by a radioactive spider. He possesses spider-like abilities and uses them to fight crime while juggling his personal life. He is ultimately the most lovable human being in Marvel and is the prolific easy-going superhero. Make no mistake, though. He certainly has his flaws; he's hot-headed, neurotic, judgmental, and can occasionally descend into bouts of self-pity, yet he's still extremely loyal to his loved ones, lives by a very strict Thou Shalt Not Kill code and above all else, he values responsibility. He also happens to be a genius scientist.
