THE TUDOR

Henry VIII's reign began with immense popularity, but his desperate need for a male heir transformed him into a ruthless, absolute ruler, leading to a monumental break with the Roman Catholic Church. This decision, along with his six marriages and the execution of trusted advisors, created a climate of fear, ultimately shaping a new, independent England while leaving a legacy of personal paranoia and political upheaval.
