The main protagonist, and a young, naive journalist. Nathan is the kind of person who overthinks every word before he says it—and usually ends up saying nothing at all. He’s deeply empathetic but socially paralyzed, especially around women. Years of rejection and invisibility have left him convinced that he’s fundamentally “missing something” everyone else has. His journey isn’t about becoming confident in the traditional sense—it’s about unlearning performance and rediscovering authenticity.
