Jamie Hickinbottom, a 10-year-old boy and student at Alderman Richard Hallam Primary School, and his class go on a school trip to ITV Studios in Salford to watch a live filming of the classic children's show The Banana Splits, but they must survive from midnight until daytime when the show's titular animatronic band malfunction upon learning about their show's cancellation, and start a crazy killing spree around the studio.
