She is known for starring in both action film franchises and independent dramas, and her films have grossed over $6 billion worldwide. The world's highest-paid actress in 2015 and 2016, she appeared on Time's 100 most influential people in the world list in 2013 and the Forbes Celebrity 100 list from 2013 to 2016. Her accolades include an Academy Award, a British Academy Film Award, three Golden Globe Awards, and a Peabody Award. Lawrence began her career as a teenager with guest roles on television. Her first major role was as a main cast member on the sitcom The Bill Engvall Show (2007–2009). She made her film debut with a supporting role in the drama Garden Party (2008). In Willowbrook stands the Penelope, an old movie theater. A young boy Tommy prefers spending his time in the theater rather than at school. It makes his mom Sarah mad. His grandfather, Henry, owns the theater and shares his passion for movies. Years pass, and the theater's financial woes grow. Henry can no longer afford to keep it running. It devastates Tommy. Even Sarah worries, while his younger sis, Emily, helps with the running, shares a love for movies. Henry prepares to close and reveals secret to Tommy: one room is magical and can bring actors to life. The Theatre was built by Tommy's great-grandfather, who was pioneer in the early days of cinema.
