A priest who visits Frankenstein before his execution to for his last rites. Frankenstein uses this opportunity to regale the priest with a version of the film's events, to convince him of his innocence, this serves as the film's framing device. After hearing his tale, the priest believes Frankenstein to be a mad man and a murderer, which is strengthened when he lashes out at Margaret trying to get her to corroborate his story, which she refuses to do.
