Shawn Mathis Wayans (born January 19, 1971) is an American actor, comedian, writer, and producer. He debuted on the comedy television series In Living Color (1990–1993). He went on to work with his brother Marlon Wayans on The WB sitcom The Wayans Bros. (1995–1999) and the comedy films Don't Be a Menace (1996), Scary Movie (2000), Scary Movie 2 (2001), White Chicks (2004), Little Man (2006), and Dance Flick (2009). Set in 1983–1991, The Territory follows the final years of the Mid-South Wrestling Alliance (MSWA) — a fictional regional wrestling territory in the American South facing the specific crisis of the national expansion era, when two major promotions (clearly modeled on WWF and NWA) are buying out regional territories and signing their talent. MSWA owner Dwayne 'The Duke' Holloway is fighting to keep his promotion alive, his television deal, and his roster against the predatory expansion.
