I'm thinking a remake it remains a mystery of what The Great Animal is until the climax. First appears as a scare (Rothbart's first transformation scene not shown) with the carriage attack, and shows Odette get taken, (claws around waist), instead of an off screen kidnapping. Also with an added scene for the remake that shows a Great Animal attack early on where it tries to prevent Derek and Bromley from going deeper into the forest, causing newer audience members to think that The Great Animal is Rothbart's pet. During the climax there are a few scares with a more startling one when it bursts out of the trees behind Derek and pins him down.
