Charles Joel Nordström Kinnaman (born 25 November 1979) is a Swedish-American actor who first gained recognition for his roles in the Swedish film Easy Money and the Johan Falk crime series. Kinnaman is known internationally for his television roles as Detective Stephen Holder in AMC's The Killing, Takeshi Kovacs in the first season of Altered Carbon, and Governor Will Conway in the U.S. version of House of Cards. He has also played Alex Murphy in the 2014 RoboCop remake, and Rick Flag in the Warner Bros. film adaptations of the DC Comics anti-hero team Suicide Squad (2016), as well as James Gunn's 2021 sequel/soft reboot, The Suicide Squad. Since 2019, he has starred as NASA astronaut Ed Baldwin in the Apple TV+ science fiction drama series For All Mankind.

The Swamp Thing is a 2022 American superhero film directed by Jon Favreau, produced by Zack Snyder and Favreau and written by Christopher Markus based on the DC Comics character of the same name. It is the 15th installment in the DC Extended Universe. The film stars Vin Diesel as The Swamp Thing, a humanoid creature who guards a swamp from criminals and thugs, and claims to be the murdered scientist Alec Holland (Ryan Reynolds). Kate Mara, Hugh Jackman, Joel Kinnamon, Karen Fukuhara, and Mary Elizabeth Winstead appear in supporting roles. The film premiered in Los Angeles on November 19th 2022 and was released theatrically on December 27th 2022. It was a box-office success, grossing over $671 million against a budget of $190-95 million, and received positive reviews from critics and audiences, with praise for its direction, screenplay, musical score, tone, cinematography, action sequences, performances (particularly Diesel's), visual effects, and emotional weight, with many considering it one of the best films of the DCEU. A sequel is in development.
