Aidan Murphy (born 1967 or 1968), better known as Aidan Gillen (/ˈɡɪlən/), is an Irish actor. He is known for his roles as Stuart Alan Jones in Queer as Folk (1999–2000); Tommy Carcetti in The Wire (2004–2008); John Boy in Love/Hate (2010–2011); Petyr "Littlefinger" Baelish in Game of Thrones (2011–2017), Aberama Gold in Peaky Blinders (2017–2019); as Milo Sunter on Mayor of Kingstown (2021–present); and as Frank Kinsella, in the crime drama Kin (2021–2023). His film roles include CIA operative Bill Wilson in The Dark Knight Rises (2012), Janson in Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials (2015), and John Reid in Bohemian Rhapsody (2018), and several films directed by Jamie Thraves. He has received three Irish Film & Television Awards and has been nominated for a British Academy Television Award, a British Independent Film Award, and a Tony Award. "According to the rules of the school for Underage Power Enhancement and Refinement (SUPER), Slip has to pass his final test by the end of this year or he must retire into a life as a Norm, someone without any powers. He spends his senior years studying with five other adjective would-be Supers. They must learn to work as a team and to overcome their watered-down powers if they are goiing to make it in the world of Superheros. Meanwhile, strange things are happening in the Super world. Will they be able to save the world?" (I copied this off the back of the book.) This is not like all the other super hero stories. This one is different. The characters are so relatable. The emotions are so real that you feel like you are actually there watching the scenes happen. The villains are outstanding. The plot twists are unexpected and this story is so amazing and well-created. I love the book! The author did such a wonderful job. I like it so much that I stay up at night just waiting to see what happens next. It's not one of those stories that is very predictable. The plot twists are shocking. When you first open the book it's not super boring.
