Zelda was in the story from the beginning, witnessing the fight between Mario and Kirby. Captured by Petey, but freed by Kirby, she and Peach end up imprisoned by Dedede in some cells, from which clones of both are formed. Fortunately, they are freed, and Zelda manages to transform into Sheik. She also almost fights with Fox, but they reach a truce before fighting thanks to Peach.
