Plumber’s Log #720: In a quiet, abandoned rusty pipe kingdom, a dingy place only Mario and Luigi can fix, Koopa is somewhere at the heart of it planning on something dastardly. While there’s much to discover about this kingdom, Mario goes crazy at fixing all the pipes surrounding them, but none of them work the way he wanted them to and break down. Mario feels down on himself, broken and frustrated, he’s reminded of his life and career back in Brooklyn. All the mad faces of customers he let down who scolded him for his vain efforts to fix leaks, the bills he received, and the abuse he and his brother took. This was all King Koopa’s plan to break Mario’s spirit completely so he can be unstoppable. It’s Luigi who steps up to remind Mario of who he is now and who he always will be. The one plumber who never gave up and kept plunging.
