Still mourning the death of Gwen Stacy, Peter Parker attempts to move on by starting college and continuing his double life as Spider-Man. However, things become more complicated when a man with connections to Peter's past emerges, a giant Lizard creature runs amuck, and a strange black substance merges with Peter.
