Five of Peter Parker's most fearsome enemies are broken out of jail by a new villain calling himself the Green Goblin. These six villains team up to try to defeat Spider-Man once and for all. The Green Goblin, aka Norman Osborn, has even found out who Peter is, and feeling like his son Harry has been disrespected by him and that Spider-Man has brought his company crashing down around him, Norman wants Peter to suffer the same way that he has. Peter's spider-sense warns him someone he loves is in grave danger, but he can't figure out who.
