Peter has been healing from his past with MJ, but he gets the feeling things are only going to get worse before they get better. Peter is kidnapped by someone called the Jackel and forced to fight another version of himself. And then Gwen Stacy seemingly returns from the dead. Peter begins to question what is real as this new villain begins driving him insane.
