Five months after the Defenders defeated the task force, Wilson Fisk, still determined to dominate New York, assigns new task forces to take down his enemies. and he opens up his own Tower. He puts a hit on Spider-Man, and in a tragic twist, the bullet meant for Peter Parker kills Aunt May instead. Consumed by rage and grief, Peter Parker goes on a rampage, killing civilians and task force members.
