Nicholas Hammond (born May 15, 1950) is an American-Australian actor and writer who is best known for his roles as Friedrich von Trapp in the film The Sound of Music and as Peter Parker/Spider-Man in the 1970s television series The Amazing Spider-Man. He also appeared in the theatrical films as Spider-Man and its two sequels outside of North America.
In the film, Spider-Man, who has been fighting crime in New York City for five months, discovers corruption while hunting down the Green Goblin, a serial killer targeting New York's corrupt elite.
