This will another attempt to adapt Tim Sharp's famous coming-of-age novel, "The Spectacular Now," in the form of a TV that will be streaming on HBO Max. The show will have very similar themes and plot points that the novel was originally based on. When teenager Sutter Keely is having a hard time with his girlfriend and embracing his wild side while getting drunk and going to parties. It's not until he meets a beautiful, blonde nerd by the name of Aimee. Thinking that he can change her ways from being this shy nerd to a social person, he sets off on doing that. However, his relationship with other people soon began to wither away as he's already having a relationship with Aimee. Maybe she's the one changing him and realizing that he needs to change his own ways in order for him to take a ride straight inti the heart of the spectacular now.
