Originally a fashion model and the wealthy socialite daughter of scientist Vernon van Dyne, Janet’s life would change when some rivals of Hank Pym killed her father during a business meeting between the two, and Hank helped Janet become the Wasp to avenge her father before the two were enlisted to join the Avengers and later married. In addition to sharing her husband’s size alteration powers, Janet can fly using bio-synthetic wings and fire energy bolts from her hands.
