Age 60, Reed’s childhood best friend and resident strongman of the Fantastic Four. Ben underwent the most drastic transformation of the four on Reed’s expedition, changing from an ordinary man into a humungous orange rock monster with enchanted strength and durability. But despite his newfound powers, Ben was the most resistant towards these changes as he believed he was turned into a freak and would do anything to be turned back to normal. Eventually, with help from his friends, Ben begins to accept the good his new form could bring as the muscle of the Fantastic Four, eventually finding love in Alicia Masters, who accepts Ben for who he is because she is blind. These days, Ben serves as a mentor and caretaker for Franklin & Valeria Richards and Luna Storm, forming a new Fantastic Four.
