Age ???, the former empress of Zenn-La, the home world of her lover Norrin Radd, aka the Silver Surfer. After Galactus relieved the Silver Surfer of his duties as a herald to the Devourer of Worlds, Galactus returned to Zenn-La in search of another inhabitant to imbue with the Power Cosmic, only to find the planet under attack by the mysterious force of destruction known as The Other. Reluctantly, Shalla-Bal offered herself to become the new Silver Surfer in exchange for Galactus’s help in saving Zenn-La from The Other, becoming imbued with the Power Cosmic and gaining similar abilities to the original Silver Surfer in the process.
