Through the many experiments performed on him, Rocket possesses a raccoon’s natural senses, amplified intelligence, and high knowledge of weapons that he uses to become a mercenary. Eventually, Rocket befriends Groot, and the two become Guardians of the Galaxy members. Though Rocket doesn’t want to admit it, beneath his snarky attitude he uses to hide his insecurities, he’s a good little critter at heart.
