Age 18, a student of Empire State University recruited by the obscure Golden Age hero Black Marvel to join his team of young heroes known as the Slingers. After his loving mother was killed by the Orphan-Maker and Nanny, Johnny discovered that he was a mutant with hyperactive agility and a danger sense much like Spider-Man’s, which proved fitting when Johnny was given one of Spider-Man’s old costumes. With the Ricochet suit, Johnny is armed with special throwing discs hidden in his sleeves that can bounce off walls.
