Age 18, a student of Empire State University recruited by the obscure Golden Age hero Black Marvel to join his team of young heroes known as the Slingers. Once the star of the college wrestling team, Ritchie felt like something was missing in his life until Black Marvel offered him the chance to become the Slingers’ leader and wear the Prodigy costume, which Ritchie accepted immediately. Using the Prodigy suit, Ritchie’s strength, agility and durability were enhanced to superhuman levels and he could glide on the air currents like he was flying.
