But that’s all a bunch of lies because, in reality, Mantis was taken from her home at a young age by a group of alien conmen and delivered to Ego the Living Planet, who raised her like a daughter to him along with dozens of other beings descended from Ego. Although very demure and naive on the surface, Mantis is a decently skilled martial artist and a powerful empath.
