Age 53, a human scientist turned massive swamp monster guardian of the Nexus of All Realities. Hired by the US government to attempt a recreation of the Super Soldier Serum in the Florida Everglades, Ted is ambushed by AIM and injects himself with the serum in his escape, transforming himself into the Man-Thing in the process. As the Man-Thing, Ted is granted superhuman strength & durability, chlorokinesis, invulnerability, and regeneration, and can open portals to other dimensions.
