Age 15, a young boy who is unusually mature for his age and had a psychic link with the superhero known as Omega the Unknown, a member of a species of bioengineered humanoids created by the Protar to save themselves from extinction. After a car accident that killed his parents, James-Michael became bonded to Omega, and he was raised in Hell’s Kitchen by Ruth Hart, the nurse who tended to Starling after the accident, along with her roommates Amber Grant and Richard Rory. But what James soon discovered was that he was of the same species as Omega and his late parents were actually robots created to raise him. After Omega sacrificed his life to protect Starling from harm, Starling was compelled to take his guardian’s place as the new Omega the Unknown.
