Age 52, the motorcycle-riding Spirit of Vengeance. Born as the son of a family of stuntmen, Johnny was adopted by fellow stunt drivers Crash and Mona Simpson after the death of his father in an accident. However, when Crash is slowly dying of cancer, Johnny tries to make a deal with Mephisto to save Crash’s life, selling his soul and becoming bonded to Zarathos in the process. Riding his signature motorcycle to dispense his view of justice, the Ghost Rider wields a metal chain-whip and the petrifying Penance Stare, which can force whoever gazes into Johnny’s eyes to relive all their past sins and either leave them catatonic or outright kill them depending on how great their sins are.
