Age 15, a brash and hotheaded young mutant with the power to control fire to match his personality. After spending years in an abusive orphanage and its cruel headmaster, Russell snapped and began venting his frustrations by going on a rampage, which caught the attention of Deadpool and Cable. While Cable wanted the kid to be stopped at any cost before he could become a powerful supervillain in the future, Deadpool believed that if Russell were raised in a better environment, he’d have less of a chance of turning evil, which naturally led Wade to drop Russell off with the X-Men.
