Age 55, an Air Force pilot turned Captain America’s friend and sidekick. Growing up with a strong sense of justice and fairness, Sam joined the Air Force as he strove for goodness. However, after the loss of his wingman Riley on a mission, Sam left the army to help veterans cope with PTSD, which would lead him to meet Steve Rogers. Sam uses a specialized wingsuit to help him fly and is a skilled hand-to-hand combatant, thanks to his experience in the military. He is also accompanied by his pet falcon, Redwing, whom Sam can communicate with via a specialized cybernetic implant in Redwing’s body that allows him to understand human thought. On occasion, whenever Steve wasn’t available, Sam also suited up as Captain America.
