Age 38, Peter Parker’s childhood friend turned old high school bully turned loyal ally in adulthood. Ironically, despite Flash’s history of bullying Peter, he was a devoted fan of Spider-Man, whose selfless heroism inspired Flash to enlist in the United States military and fight in the Iraq War. However, this would lead Flash to lose the use of his legs after putting himself in danger to save his superior officer. He was honorably discharged and given a Medal of Honor for his heroism. Afterward, the military would grant Flash control of a piece of the Venom symbiote that allowed him to temporarily regain the use of his legs and continue being a hero.
