Age 78, the estranged Japanese son of Wolverine. After the Winter Soldier murdered his mother, Akihiro was adopted by a wealthy Japanese family who were unaware that he was Wolverine’s son. While Akihiro was taken as a sign from the heavens that the couple’s prayers for a child were answered, he was regarded with fear and distrust by the village he was raised in, and he gets his name from the Japanese word for “mongrel.” Eventually, the troubled Akihiro learns of his true heritage and seeks revenge against Logan, wearing the cruel nickname with pride as he wields powers similar to those of his mutant father.
