Age 17, the latest host of the Enigma Force, an ancient cosmic force that turns whoever its current host may be into the all-powerful Captain Universe. Her mother Tamara was the previous host, having joined with the Enigma Force after a car crash that left her in a coma for ten years because the universe sensed she was broken and dying just like it was. Upon awakening, Tamara realized she had amnesia and believed her daughter had died in the crash. However, Ella turned out to have survived the accident and once the two were reunited, Ella was given the Enigma Force and became the new Captain Universe. Like every incarnation of Captain Universe before her, Ella has phenomenal cosmic power that she struggles with controlling.
