Brian is a member of the Captain Britain Corps, a league of superheroes brought together by the wizard Merlin to defend the multiverse, with each member being given a choice between wielding the Amulet of Right, representing wisdom, or the Sword of Might, representing strength. Brian ultimately chose the Amulet of Right since he didn’t see himself as a fighter.
