Age 106, a celebrated World War II veteran turned leader of the Avengers. Although young Steve Rogers was born a frail young man with numerous health problems, his heart of gold, sense of justice, and love for his country made him a worthy candidate for Project Rebirth, which turned him into an unstoppable super-soldier fighting against the forces of Nazi Germany and HYDRA. However, this would end with the good Captain sacrificing himself by flying a fighter plane carrying a WMD into the Arctic, where he would be cryogenically frozen for decades afterward before being unfrozen in the 21st century. After adjusting to his new surroundings and coping with the friends he lost, Steve took up his shield once more as leader of the Avengers.
