Amy was one of the only people who loved Sonic for being more than being famous. But when Sonic lost his speed and self-esteem, she still held onto that love. In this journey, there were guardians of the gems made of stone that could pack a punch, yet there were challenges not by physical fighting by the Guardians of the Super Sapphires, but also mental and emotional challenges for the team as Sonic yells at them saying that nobody loves him if he's nobody. Then Amy yelled back that she still would. It was only until the final battle her love for Sonic returned.
