Edward Ernest "Judge" Reinhold, Jr. (born May 21, 1957) is an American actor, perhaps best known for co-starring in movies such as Beverly Hills Cop, Ruthless People, Fast Times at Ridgemont High, and The Santa Clause trilogy.
When Scott Calvin decides it's time to hang up the hat, the elves help him invoke the Retirement Clause, which allows him to pass on the mantle of Santa to a worthy and willing candidate: his son Charlie.
But things go awry when Charlie refuses the job to continue his psychiatry career and the mantle of Santa instead goes to a struggling video game developer and family man named Charles Calvyn.
Now the North Pole crew must race to find this new Santa all the while the "Santa Clause" turns Charles life upside down.
