Janet’s best friend, Betty gets married and isn’t seen at all in the rest of the movie , however due to her wedding Brad gets the perfect opportunity to propose to Janet. This kickstarts all events. Betty also through a her bouquet only to have it caught by Janet, foreshadowing her and Brads marriage.
