In this very true story, in Louisville, Kentucky, 1984, medical warehouse worker Frank and rookie Freddy accidentally unleash a chemical gas into the building that reanimates unkillable dead bodies with a hunger for human brains. When they enlist the help of their boss Burt, and when they decide to bring the corpse to the crematorium owned by Burt's old friend Ernie, they end up making things worse as the smoke from the burning corpse releases into the air and into the rain that causes all of the dead bodies buried in the nearby cemetery to re-animate and attack Freddy's friends, who are there to party. Now they must find a way to contact local authorities for help before the dead spreads throughout the city and makes things even worse...
