A tragic scientist seeking to cure his wife of a deadly disease... A bold move by the director to have a version of Mr. Freeze with Batman and robin still in people's memory...but Raimi's version focused less on Ice Puns and more on the tragic nature of his character (although he does have a touching moment where his wife makes one)
