Eddie Brock appears, but less prominently. In this film, he is one of Peter's schoolmates, in fact, he is apparently Flash Thompson's best friend, and thus one of the bullies who torments Peter before he becomes Spider-Man. Eddie Brock and Peter Parker may be childhood friends, schoolmates, or older brothers, depending on the version of the story. Despite his hatred of Spider-Man, Venom has a twisted sense of morality, avoiding harming anyone he deems to be innocent and even performing heroic deeds. However, it is never clear how long Venom's darker impulses can be held in check.
