Taran, an assistant pig-keeper, must protect Hen Wen, a prophetic pig, from the Horned King, who seeks the Black Cauldron to create an undead army. He is joined by Princess Eilonwy, the minstrel Fflewddur Fflam, and the creature Gurgi.
