Kent Nelson was a kind academic and one of the founding members of the Justice Society, with his magical abilities and the Helmet of Fate, he used to transform into the powerful mystical sorcerer known as Doctor Fate.After the team disbanded, Kent went into exile in the Tower of Fate to try to find inner peace.Many years later, Kent decided to return to action after a premonition, saving a group of children from a demon.Upon seeing a vision in which the Justice Society was killed, Nelson contacted Carter Hall to return to the team.
