Following the climactic battle between the Gray Hulk and Wendigo, the military secures the destroyed gamma laboratory. Emergency crews begin searching the ruins for survivors. Among the debris lies the unconscious Dr. Ursula Kaine, severely injured after her experiment collapses around her. As medics move toward her, a shattered gamma containment cylinder rolls across the floor. One glowing emerald droplet slowly drips from the cracked vial. The droplet lands on the wound on Ursula's forehead. At first, nothing happens. Then the gamma energy is absorbed directly into her body. Her eyes suddenly snap open. Green veins spread beneath her skin as her pupils glow with an eerie emerald light. She smiles not in pain, but in realization. The medics, unaware of what has happened, carry her away.
