This time, the case involves a string of robberies and kidnappings that are linked to a powerful organized crime syndicate. As March and Healy investigate, they discover that the syndicate is involved in a wide range of criminal activities, including drug trafficking, money laundering, and political corruption. To make matters worse, the detectives soon find themselves on the run from the syndicate's ruthless enforcers, who will stop at nothing to keep their secrets safe. Along the way, March and Healy team up with a new ally, a tough-as-nails police detective named Karen (played by a new actress), who has her own reasons for taking down the syndicate. As they navigate the dangerous underworld of 1970s Los Angeles, March, Healy, and Karen must use all of their wit, charm, and fighting skills to stay alive and bring the syndicate to justice.
