Esteban, a young orphan who was raised by monks in the Cathedral of Barcelona, joins Mendoza, a wise and brave navigator, and his two fellow sailors, Pedro and Sancho, in an adventure to find his long lost father and discover the legendary Cities of Gold. Accompanied by Zia, a young Incan girl who was enslaved by Spaniards, and Tao, the last descendant of the Mu Empire, he travels through the New World and above, trying to find answers about his past and his nickname, "the Child of the Sun"...
